June 30, 2016 Packing!

With only two days left before my departure, I scramble to tie up loose ends and prepare all I will need for the next year. You realize while packing what things are essential, what things you could do without, what things you are nostalgic for, and what things you forgot that you stuffed under your bed. I sifted through most items until I packed my two bags (and one more just for my ukulele! Ukulele seemed to land in the essential pile.) I know there will be things I forgot, and others I lose along the way, but I've packed just enough to feel prepared for now.

June 28, 2016 Gnome Sets Off

Hello! This is my little friend Golden Gnome. He may be yellow but he is no coward, he is ready to travel the world. You may see pictures of him or his two brothers all over the continents on many adventures. For the next few days he is enjoying Edison, New Jersey, but he will soon set off. Wish him luck!

June 26, 2016 Adventure Awaits

The count down until I leave for my trip is in less than a week. I feel a swirling mixture of excitement, nervousness, and anticipation! Leaving for a long period of time is not an experience I am familiar with and one I don't fully understand yet. As long as I keep an open mindset I will be able to enjoy and cherish every moment of traveling. Right now I am feeling grateful for all of the love and support from my family and friends. I recently was given a beautiful send off and it allows me the courage I need to make the next big step!
